Any dog can learn anything at any age, especially if he had learned to learn at an early age. And I make the exception for the very physical activity such as racing or high jumping which would be unwise for a senior dog to learn later in life. But I mean mental activity accompanied by mild physical activity. A dog actually enjoys some mental stimulation just as we humans do.
I am announcing my new multi-faceted training classes that will incorporate some very simple Beginner Agility exercises, some Dog Show Handling techniques, and some very basic but necessary obedience exercises ... All in one course that's fun for dog and owner.
Sometimes we have to blow our own whistle. As such, I have quite a few years' experience teaching, competing, and judging in international- and AKC-sponsored events, from beginner to top competition levels, and as dog handler showing many different breeds including my own Rottweilers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Manchester Terriers, Miniature Pinschers, Golden Retrievers, and many poodles.
Dogs have been my life and still are. Breeding, training, showing, and judging dogs gives you an incredible appreciation for dogs and what they can do, and what a great privilege it is to be able to spend time with them and their human beings.
Daytime and evening classes are available in our air-conditioned facility. My private sessions pay off in successful results and a very enjoyable training experience. Call me, Peggy Giulini, at 704-598-1290.
